Gold Award for the National Helpline for Children SOS 1056 and Chat 1056
For the third consecutive year, “The Smile of the Child” has been named “Non-Profit Organization of the Year” in the field of Child Protection at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2025, also receiving a Gold Award for the operation of the National Helpline for Children SOS 1056 and Chat 1056.
The judging committee placed particular emphasis on the social impact and measurable results of the Organization’s work and especially on the outcomes achieved through the National Helpline for Children SOS 1056 and Chat 1056.
Celebrating 30 years of action, “The Smile of the Child” has responded to and managed over 5 million calls and messages through the National Helpline for Children SOS 1056 and Chat 1056.
Through every call and every message, the Organization has saved lives, offered solutions, and provided care and relief to every child in need.
Today, the Organization and the specialized scientific team staffing the Helpline and Chat 1056 feel proud of the trust placed in them by children themselves, as over 40% of contacts come directly from children seeking help and support.
The operation of the National Helpline for Children SOS 1056 and Chat 1056 would not be possible without the valuable support of the Organization’s sponsors in the telecommunications and technology sectors, who generously provide equipment, infrastructure, and technical expertise.
Through the National Helpline for Children SOS 1056 and Chat 1056, “The Smile of the Child” with its dedicated team of professionals offers free, immediate, and confidential support, counseling, and guidance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to any child, adolescent, or young person in need, as well as to their families, the educational community, and the wider public.
